30 Rock

Has friends besides tanks now

Probably the most painfully mediocre show I've ever seen. Like, usually I either really like a show or wish it didn't exist, but this, at most, makes me feel disappointed because it's in the way of South Park or The Daily Show/The Colbert Report.

  • You can change. You can.

It has gotten pretty dull these days but it used to be pretty good.

  • Well, it's no Parks and Rec, but I still like watching it on occasion just to see Baldwin and Fey play off each other.

Oh, yeah, I haven't seen any Parks and Rec. Which channel?

What else I have seen, though, is It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which is a motherfucking laugh riot.

I don't watch 30 Rock, but when I wander in on other family members watching it it seems pretty good?

  • It's on NBC too, so I like to pretend it's The Office after that went bad.

  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

I honestly can't stand The Office nor Parks and Recreation. Cringe humor is the sort I hate. 30 Rock is a show I loved to watch until my cable got shut off.

I normally dislike cringe humor but I'm fond of stuff like Peep Show. Maybe because it's full of horrible people and thus it becomes funner to see them suffer, I guess.

^ That's half the appeal of It's Always Sunny. The other half is that it's just so audacious in general.

Parks and Recreation has the most dense and well-meaning main character I've ever seen, it pains me she is the centre of the show so much I can't stand it.

  • Yeah, Poehler being one of the best leads in a current show is definitely a plus for me.

  • a little muffled

@Juan: I found Peep Show unbearably awkward even despite that. I don't mind cringe humour in small doses, but that was too much.
