I found out about a Megaman soundtrack apparently no-one has heard of...
Interesting.
Ooh, Wily 2 from MM4. I like.
I feel like I need to find this Chiptune Track.
One of my all-time favorite Mega Man tracks.
Glenn, you can post on why later Mega Man tracks are better than this one, I won't care. I love the way this one sounds.
I can't say anything is objectively better when it comes to artistic tastes like music anyway.
I don't like this theme as much as, say, Bubble Man's theme from the same game, because this one has less harmonic variation. But that's just my opinion.
While we're on the subject of Mega Man.
It's funny how the cheeriest music in Yume Nikki plays in an area you barely spend 5 seconds in
A piece that has been in my head since the 90s.

This is one of those "I would play this game just for the soundtrack" sort of games. Apparently this is only a bonus track from the OST that isn't in the game itself, which is a real shame.
Wait... how does linking youtube up work on this site?
Just paste the URL; it automagically turns into a vid. It's a bit annoying sometimes because it does that...

I just noticed we have a game music thread. So, anyway. Have you noticed how in sci-fi RTS games, the music tends to be some mix of rock, electronic, and what I'd call "standard movie music"? So I found out about Earth 2150. Two of the factions have music generally of the fold I've described above, but the third...
...are you posting from the mobile version of the site or something?
Or are you posting something that's already a link?
Because I'm not sure how the parser works now...
You have to un-hyperlink the video to get it to work.
Hey Poor Player - Yuzo Koshiro to Make First US Appearance At MAGfest 11
And this is the year before I can afford to go across the country to magfest god dammit why
I love this song, it's just so intense!
(Higher quality version here.)
A new Game Music Bundle has appeared!
http://www.gamemusicbundle.com/
The current one features soundtracks of iPhone/iPad games.
Have I mentioned I love this song?
Have I mentioned how I, once upon a time, after having heard this theme once, thought Gravity Beetle's theme was in G# minor rather than G minor?
I still prefer it in G# minor. Makes it "shinier".
Best remix of anything ever.
Okay, I want this game now.
Loooove this song.
Only 27 seconds long, then looped, but it's still awesome.
I call this the "Spanish guitar" version of this track, and I love it. It plays as you're fighting your way through the ruins of a pagan worship complex.
This is appropriately moody for the game it's from.
toohoo bagpipes, fuck year
^^SOTL's soundtrack is pretty excellent overall.
