A Mind You Do NOT Want To Read

Bee is right on that point, I guess. That is most likely just Activision's way of scamming kids into spending an extra third of a grand before they can experience the game in full.

If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.

Ultimately, though, I don't think it really matters. I don't think there are so many ten-year-old completionists out there that are going to be able to bug their parents into buying every single figurine. I'm betting most people would be happy with a handful of figurines, and maybe a few extra that they think look cool.

Not to mention that, in the end, I'd still prefer to be buying my cousins a couple of cool little figurines that they can muck around with in their bedrooms over buying them a thumbdrive and buying all the characters for a lower price.

I mean, look at this shit. Ordinarily, I'd be paying eighty bucks for the game itself, then another two hundred buying all the Spyro toys they want. This way, the toys are actually a part of the game itself.

Hmm. I think my 10-year-old self would really want to do everything he could to make sure he eventually completes the game, no matter how big a chunk it would take out of his allowance...

...but then again, that's just me.

I never actually had a console at ten, so I can't comment.

All I can comment on is my cousins, who I am buying the game for. And they don't really give a shit about getting everything in the game, they just want to play with cool dragons and rock-men and stuff.
