Okay, so running games are kind of bland is it is, but turning it into rhythm-based sounded cool. But if you're going to be that maddeningly precise about things, it's a good idea to have your input actually go off when you press it instead of a quarter-second later. I feel like they were going for pushing it on the offbeat to jump an on-beat obstacle, but it doesn't feel synced properly, so it just comes off as a Prince of Persia jump delay.
I mean, I can't say I didn't get my money's worth because I bought the bundle for Blocks that Matter, Edge, and Rush, and didn't really care about the rest. But still, I'm rather boggled as to how a game like that made it onto a distributor like Steam when it plays less smoothly than running games and rhythm games on Newgrounds.
