Just wanted to let people know that the TV Tropes work page on the infamous "Kagami Hiiragi Snuggling After Sex" (which also happens to be the work page for its sequel, "[blah] Snuggling After Onions"), will be cut.
Here is the cut discussion: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13398617510A47200100&page=0
Looks like the page will be cut, as well as the sequel thread. The original thread, as some of you may know, was already cut.
I've just saved the source of the work page.
If anyone really has enough fondness for rather inane piece of old shame, someone else get to saving the sequel thread ASAP. You have your work cut out for you; it's 6838 pages long.

Yay. One less reason to think about it.
I didn't even know this existed until recently. Never posted in it to my recollection, but I guess it's good they're getting rid of some particularly dirty underwear.
I was only vaguely aware of this, but why did it warrant a work page? That's on the same level of writing work pages to pimp out your half-written fanfic.
Oh well.
Haha, that reminds me of a story. One of the people on my floor in my undergrad dorm once had a food fight at his frat house. After said food fight (which involved, among probably other things, extensive contact with raw meat), he put the dirtied clothes in a plastic grocery bag.
He left the bag on the floor of the bathroom in his suite.
About a month later, a suitemate was wondering why the bathroom stank severely, and discovered that mold was growing on said clothes.
Not trying to hurt anyone's feelings here, but that's kind of really fucking stupid. That page on TVTropes combines its love of fanfiction with its love of running every single joke on Earth into the ground.
At the time, all of the prominent and long running RPs in the forum had gotten a page. See, We Are Our Avatars and stuff like that.
>someone else get to saving thesequel thread ASAP. You have your work cut out for you; it's 6838 pages long.
Challenge accepted.
Psst, you guys don't have to be so harsh on your former selves.
^^^ Cuz tvt
It was simple at first, then We Are Our Avatars became this big heavily convoluted, continuity based epic of some sort and I was like: fuck.
I already have the first 6531 pages saved, since I was actually archiving it as it went since early on in its life. Though I gave up eventually since it got boring. Anyway, that means that if you really do want to archive it, you only have to worry about the last 300ish pages.
Anyway, this actually saddens me a little bit, since the thread was actually pretty fun for a while. Still, it's not like I've had anything to do with it for quite a while, so
^ Well that's helpful. I had had around 860 pages saved from the old days before I lost interest, and I'd just gotten about 600 this evening.
Well I ended up doing the rest myself anyway.
And nothing of value was lost.
Good riddance.
Heh, that reminds me. I went on the site few weeks ago and put the old "HavenQuest" page on the cutlist because none of the material is accessible anymore. The fact that it was declined is probably the greatest example of the "no notability" stance I can imagine. "We must trope everything, even if it's a forum roleplay that no longer exists in any form and the person who'd been running it asks us not to!"
(Tangentially related, but I find it amusing that I can't get my troper page cut if I ask nicely, but I'd be able to if I got myself banned in some hideously over the top manner.)
I actually took a look at the page, and despite all the links to the RP itself is dead, the page has a pretty drawing. So I guess that would be why, in addition to the first paragraph which made me cringe over how too hard they were trying to be cool.
Another thing: Isn't it odd whenever someone brings up something from the past, many if not all people related to it are now gone out of disgust or banned? Looks like Haven straight up gave up after being harassed for months with no mod intervention.
Go on #yackfest, it's a fuckin' time capsule.
To be honest, it's been so long since I had any contact with the KHSAS and KHSWO threads that instead of disgusting me, they actually kind of amuse me, in a very inanely stupid sort of way. Kinda like YouTube Poop or Baman and Piderman.
More to the point raised in the last two posts, it seems that the TVT metacommunity has kinda been splintered several ways, between:
* people still (and participating heavily in) the TVT forum, which seems to include a mix of people who still contribute heavily to the wiki itself, people who are idealists about the site, and (allegedly) people with disgusting tastes
* people at #tropers on Espernet, including people are disgruntled ex-tropers themselves and people who were not associated at all with TVT who just started hanging out there because their friends were there
* people at #yackfest on Espernet, including many current and former tropers, some of whom are still on the TVTF, some of whom are banned from the TVTF
* people at IJBM, which started out including lots of people who liked shitposting, but has since become people who like discussing stuff seriously (including lots of media discussions)
* people at Heapers' Hangout, which has various people interested in shitposting, silliness, and some roleplaying
* people at BTL, who like to discuss issues but (compared to IJBM) are much more intensely critical of TVT and people with bad tastes (and more intensely critical of things in general), many of whom are disgruntled ex-tropers (a good many not by choice), and some of whom are (last time I checked) interested and participating in a currently active TVT re-do project
* some disgruntled ex-tropers at SA, as well as some current tropers, who are not allowed to openly reveal dual membership by order of the rules
Anything I missed?
I didn't include the spinoff wikis for Fetish Fuel or Troper Tales because I doubt they have a truly active userbase. The Tropes Mirror Wiki is the basis for BTL's re-do project.
Just to make things clear: We (the P5) only voted to cut the work page itself. We have no jurisdiction over forum threads, so we're not messing with that.
Now, whether or not the mods feel the need to do something about the Onions thread based on some of the stuff that came up in the Content Violations discussion is another story. I can't imagine that Eddie will be too happy about roleplay involving KnJ characters, so I won't be surprised if the thread gets cut as well.
That's why I put the heads-up here in case anyone wants to save it.
I've figured it getting deleted was pretty much inevitable since it was created. Or rather, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it has.
In any case, I did save the entire thread except maybe for a few pages here and there if I missed any, so... yeah.
What a gargantuan clusterfuck of spin-offs.
>Fetish Fuel wiki doesn't allow porn
Oh lol, looks like hentaitropes will become a reality sooner or later.
Heh.
Oh dear gods, it will, won't it?
