Humans are still a diurnal species, even in the summertime
People should sleep during the day and work at night, when it's cooler.

I approve.
We should all just become Batman, clearly.
"become"?
Agreed, at least, here in the tropics.
I demand a surge in 24/7 businesses. So for those nights when I have a jonesing for beef stroganoff, I don't have to wait until 10am when most normal food places open.
Broken biorhytm reporting in.
Personally, I want to go back to the days before artificial lighting, where people would sleep, then become half-awake for a few hours, then sleep some more before waking up.
I would personally have no qualms about becoming nocturnal, if I had to for a job or something.
I'm already doing that and it's kinda suffering. I like mornings as a time when I'm up and everything is all calm and quiet, not "okay time to go to bed."
I'm pretty much already notcturnal. I get up in the late afternoon so I can have a few hours for things that aren't open at night, like shopping and school, but I usually end up staying up until 7:00 or 8:00 in the morning.
This might have to stop once I can find a job, though.
Evolution is slow.
^^ Or you could get a night job?
How does that make any sense?
Stupid reality, always messing stuff up.
It's also good in the sense that it's really the only time the body can focus all of its energy on improving you. Studies have shown that good sleep schedules increase your memory and IQ, and that sleepy time is when most adolescents do their growing.
It's only a third of its life unconcious.
So INUH, sleep makes us less reckless and therefore live longer?
^^That helps too.
I agree that we should sleep during the day and do things at night, if the start of night = sunset. I hate having to go out in the blazing sun and being given a harsh reminder that Canada can get fucking hot.
As for sleep, I think I'd like it better if we'd evolved in a way that allowed me to:
-fall asleep at will and wake up exactly when I needed to, like if I was bored and had a long wait ahead of me;
-easily control our dreams.
Oh yes, I totally agree with those two things.
Right now, it is totally dark out and nevertheless 30 degrees Celsius here.
That's 86 Fahrenheit.
And it's still May...
