I have a lot of games I haven't finished, and I feel like I'm rather "irresponsibly" putting things down. And this makes it hard for me to pick up games that put down a while back to give me a senses of fulfillment and accomplishment from finishing them (and the enjoyment of seeing their endings).

The only game I own I haven't finished is SMT: Strange Journey and it's because I have no idea what to do.

Here here, still ashamed I've not finished God Hand. And it's the shortest one on my To-Do list.
Everyone after a big Steam sale knows this feel.
I still have yet to finish Super Castlevania 4.
I tend to return to these games a year or two later, often as a deliberate substitute when I'm trying to keep myself from buying a popular but expensive new game. (Among other things, this was how I finally beat Fallout New Vegas.)

This isn't just in the aftermath of a Steam sale.
I don't even splurge on Steam sales. I am mostly uninterested in Steam's offerings and besides I don't like the Steam wrapper as DRM even if it is light as far as DRM goes. I've bought maybe a handful of games from Steam; the rest of my Steam library comes from bundles and from gifts from others.
And for that matter, I also don't count those games that I have but don't care to play.
But I still have a long list of games I mean to finish but haven't gotten around to finishing yet. Here's a sample:
