...but it's now on the third song in a row from Battle Metal. Yeah, they're out of order, but still!

  • Because you never know what you might see.
Yeah, it's weird when that kind of thing happens.  It seems to happen more often than you might expect.

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
It's because people expect randomness to create even distributions, when in fact it just as often creates clumps of random size.
  • Right now mine seems to be getting pirated songs every second song, which brings up a popup telling me I need a liscence. It's a little bit of an irritance since I need to keep opening it and dismissing the popup, before picking another track, then getting another pirated one before too long.

^ That is a good point.

@INUH: I am aware. Still, it's weird when you get three in a row from the same album with over a thousand songs in the library.

Unlikely, yeah, but not impossible or anything.  If the average album is 12 songs long and you have exactly 1000 songs in your library, the chance of your first 3 songs being all from the same album is like... 0.011% or something.  Which is pretty low, yeah, but not completely impossible.  And of course the chance is actually much higher since it doesn't have to be your first 3 songs.
