Which, considering how hard-coded war is into human history, isn't all that surprising.

Well, the article does mention that not all chimps are that aggressive, but yeah, the idea of deliberate chimp-on-chimp wars is pretty disturbing. I feel like the reasons why predators are aggressive towards their prey at least make a bit more sense.
That being said, I am a bit wary of people saying that "war is our evolutionary destiny" and such. I think it seems a little too close to babbling on about the survival of the fittest and using it to justify mistreating people who are disabled, weak, unpopular or what have you.
Of course, I am not saying that you believe in that kind of silly stuff, but I think the author of that article makes a good point about how humans operate by morals and chimps do not.
