Somehow, whoever works on the official app went backwards.

Okay, so notifications all in one place. Nice, except you can no longer see replies in full or reblog-comments.

You also can no longer reply to posts, and gifs no longer play.

There are other things presumably wrong but I uninstalled this garbage before long and switched to a new app.

Now, it's okay that Tumblr doesn't put much emphasis on their mobile app, as they are first and foremost a desktop site. But why remove useful features? It makes little sense, unless they fired the old mobile dev and hired a new one who's unfamiliar with the old dev's app or something.

Then again, this is Tumblr, which has a bad habit of excluding features that every other blogging site has.
