I hate this stupid, ugly, needlessly technical, unwieldy, excuse for a word.
Comments
How does this word fit any of those criteria, exactly?
>needlessly technical
>unwieldy
um, i don't even speak english as a mother language and i don't find it that bothersome, either
You have not heard youtubers use it five billion times in a single video when words like "lack","desire", and "drive" would do perfectly fine.
DON"T ACT LIKE YOU'VE SEEN THE THINGS I'VE SEEN
Aaaaah. This way.
...uh...maybe I just don't watch the same youtube videos as you do. I generally hear the exact word "deprivation" in the phrase "sleep deprivation", and if we're talking about other forms of the same word, then I sometimes hear people criticize others as "deprived" of experiences as a child. That's pretty much the only two times I hear this word.
Actually, come to think of it...knowing that Myrmidon watches philosophy-related Youtube videos, I can see that there's a greater-than-usual chance of people using big words for no reason.
FUCKING EFILISTS
Hmm, now that I think about it, if Socrates was alive today he'd probably be an internet troll.
Socrates was the first troll, trolling the forums back when they were IRL. I have expressed this idea multiple times. "Social gadfly" is how anyone not knowing of modern sociology would say "it was a social experiment". He created the art of trolling and is a hero, a patron saint, to trolls worldwide. Nowadays a ban, no matter how harsh, is nothing harmful to the troll. But in Socrates' times, people were banned from RL. When the Athenians saw him trollin' and they hatin', he gave his life for our right to troll.
"awkward" is an awkward word
Which isn't the point of a ban in the first place, but there you have it.

Well thank you.
