When people schedule things that screw up your schedule, but you can't tell them why

For example, it's the morning after, you're still not done with that app you were working on last night, but your mom wakes you up to go do something with the family.  You can't tell her you aren't done, and all you're stuck with doing is expressing a general sense of frustration.
