People who pretend Sonic 4 doesn't suck
Comments
If that the game for furrys or something.
Anyways, I loved Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2
In fact, the only Sonic game I've played and hated is Secret Rings (Remember, this is out of the ones I have PLAYED. I wok't play '06 unless I feel like punishing myself)
"I had a love hate relationship with the Sonic games, especially the Sega Genesis Trilogy, because of how counter intuitive the game is. The game punishes you for using its one gimmick: speed speed speed."
Incidentally, I did feel that Ninja Gaiden worked better as a speed-based platformer since the game actively encouraged you to keep moving and punished you for staying still.
Both? I can spot three sides: Sonic wasn't ever good after S3&K, Sonic wasn't ever good, and Sonic is still good.
On a side note, this is why I revile "People who" threads.
I can see why Komodin left.
Colours was good too, and I'm looking forward more to Generations than to the new Zelda (Stupid Motion Plus)
I'm more of a Mario kid,but I appreciate Sonic games and judging a game based on the worst elements of its fandom is pretty silly.
So I'm with you Ninjaclown
I actually enjoyed Heroes.
I just don't think any of the games are very fun, has nothing to do with furries or anything... >.>
"but it doesn't mean you get to dismiss everyone's dislike of the franchise with "They're fan-hating" or "This is why I revile this kind of thread"."
Did we say that? I know I for one did acknowledge a legitimate reason to dislike the series by pointing out a game I felt did its gimmick better. My attacking the fan hating does not have to do so much with the main topic as it does the fact that it is perfectly possible to explain why someone dislikes something without having to resort to that, and engaging in ad hominem is counterproductive to a good argument.
And when I say I revile "people who" threads, it's based on a topic I have constantly complained about in the old IJBM, namely that there is absolutely no reason to use those words when you can phrase the topic in terms of the issue or behaviour rather than as an ad hominem.
"Not to mention that most of the blanket statements were obviously fascetious."
Probably, but with Poe's Law, it's hard to tell sometimes. Remember that "We are the 53%" image?
"If anything, I'd say that the worst insult thrown out there was that sonic fans keep buying shit games."
Though I still do wonder in that case why haters care so much about what other people think.
stuff like Bayonetta and Skies of Arcadia has been by other people."
Talk to the fanbase about Sonic Colors. It's generally agreed that's a good game. And it was made by Sonic Team.
"Honestly the continuing popularity of Sonic is frankly baffling. The
last good sonic game was HOW long ago? You know what, let's pick Sonic 3
+ K as the last "good" sonic game (God knows it's better than anything
since). How's this series still got so many active fans. And I don't
mean people with good memories of Sonic, people still active fan of this
franchise. How many times do you get served shit before you learn your
lesson?"
It's called differing tastes. Not all people think the various games are shitty. And for the record, I do not like all the Sonic games out there.
Also, the furry comments. Really guys? REALLY!?
