From the Role Models thread in Manga & Anime:ハヤテお兄様~~~
*
I'm actually older and taller than him, but
still!!
HAYATEEEE!!!He's
strong and high in stamina!
He's self-sufficient and skilled in
many practical fields!
He's kind and considerate!He's
lovely and handsome!
He's brave and always motivated! He can
teleport!
He can survive in any situation!
He can play the
violin!
He's excellent at cooking!
He can slice apart a boulder with a
standard sword!
And he's adorable.
~Hayate~
Hayate~ Hayate~
Oh how I wish I could be like you~ No matter
how hard I try I can barely come close! But even if my best is nowhere
near your unrealistic grandeur, i'll never succumb to envy even after I
fall into my deepest lows!
Ohhh Hayate~~~♥ You're so sweet,
huggable and innocent~!
Squee!!!
I know that Ed likes such characters and I'm not surprised that he likes Hayate. But seeing him insanely and uncharacteristically gush like that... scares me.

Better than him making creepy topics over on TVTropes about fucking your own child or turning everyone into a generic anime character.I mean, I usually read all Edmania's posts in a depressing monotone, so... that caught me off guard.
Kind of like the opposite of me.
Are you really going to be that petty?
Point: missed
But anyway, it could be true. Ed has shown to value "beauty" a lot and he has displayed an unhealthy obsession with the series and that character in particular for a long time. He's also usually pretty enthusiastic in the A&M subforum. The fact that it's so likely for it be either honest or not is what makes it so unsettling.
Though given that Edmania posts here, we could just wait for a clarification.
"But seeing him insanely and uncharacteristically gush like that... scares me."
Having done that once myself, it has a bigger impact when you have established yourself as an emotionally composed fellow.
Dude, your contributor page. Or at least, how it was before you edited it.
