When you have a speck on your monitor
You always, ALWAYS notice it when it's in the teeth of someone on your screen.
Personally, I think websites that show photos of people tap into some kind of orbital speck cannon and fire a speck onto your monitor the moment you look at the photo.

I see it when it's on their faces.
I tend to notice it more on faces too and I always think it looks like either a piercing or a bindi.
I also notice it on text a lot and letters will look like they have an accent mark when they don't.
