IJBM Steam group open for business

I've considered changing my name (Everest knows what to, if he remembers) but eh, I'm known as Nyktos pretty much everywhere at this point, too much effort to go and change it.
If I do change my name it probably won't be to Flickum Biccus.
Dunno what I would actually change it to though. I go as Freakshow Improv on tumblr and Steam and one or two other places, but I'm not sure I like that enough to be it here too.
Who's Doodleoodloodle? And who's MrMe05?
I have been in the group since this thread was originally created, therefore I am more awesome. (also I'm UnknownEntity634 on steam, though I'm not really on too much)
Oh, I should be bumping this thread.
Yeah. Our Steam group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/bugclub
And I might at some point make a giveaway for the IJBM community to be randomly raffled off using this site: http://www.steamgifts.com/ , so join it if you're interested. You can also win other free games from that site.
In addition to the above, I have 2 spare copies of Dungeon Defenders if anyone wants them. If more then 2 people post, I'll just make it a group giveaway on steamgifts
Man, I have that game on the XBOX.
Is it a good thing then that I have the game but haven't started yet?
Also, how long do individual games/matches take?
The levels can take between... ten minutes to up to forty-five.
But each level is divided into several rounds.
What does the game do to retain the player's attention after the level is over? How many levels are there? Are there things like tech trees or unlockables?
I would like a copy of Dungeon Defenders sent my way, I could always use another game added to the backlog. I also have two copies of the ship to give away if anyone wants them.
There are multiple difficulty levels, and you can replay the levels in either 'defence mode', where you can only use the character's towers/auras/traps, essentially rendering DPS characters useful, or 'survival mode', where you're pitted against twenty-five levels, in which more and more enemies charge at you, and they get increasingly stronger as the survival mode goes on.
The characters do have unlockables, but they're all the same between character classes. Essentially, each class has things they can unlock- for example, the Apprentice gets towers which shoot balls of varying elemental damage, while the Squire gets towers that block enemies from walking through and can generally deal damage.
Oh, public Eversion giveaway for all SteamGifts (and thus SteamGifts-eligible) users, also from UE: http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/ZumDN/eversion

created this for whoever has steamgifts and wants a fun arcade game.
If anyone has DDO, I've got a Level 3 cleric who needs help clearing out a Kobold dungeon.
At Glenn's request, I made him, ClockworkUniverse and Unknown Entity moderators of the Steam group.
Thanks!
Not sure what there is to announce immediately, but it would be cool if we get games running amongst ourselves.
Well I just got done with a DDO session with Nova.
Was fun, even if Elite Difficulty can kick everyone's ass at once. :V
Not sure if this wouldn't fit better in Vidya Gaems.
This thread is more of a community organizing thread and probably fits under IJBM meta, actually.
I actually thought this was Vidya Games.
*confuzzed*
Anyway I made a DDO thread. Cuz I figured one was warranted.
Also, I've invited a bunch of ya.
It's not :v
Terraria giveaway ending in less than half an hour!

hahaha fuck you.
Yeah, it kinda has that problem. Buy a few bundles and you'll suddenly have a fuckton more value on your account even if you pay just like $1 for each.
Or alternatively, don't use the site; it's unlikely that you'll win anything anyway. Of the public giveaways, you generally have a 1 in 200 to 1000 chance of winning stuff.
Steam has recently removed the /me feature.
It used to be that, in Steam chat you could type
and it would show up as
Apparently someone was trying to use this for scamming, and thus, the feature was removed for the new current version of the Steam client.

I just got (most of the) admin powers on the IJBM Steam group, and I finally got around to updating a bunch of things (such as group description and stuff). We even have a
snazzypicture now! Check it out at http://steamcommunity.com/groups/bugclubAlso added a bunch of assorted games that we play. Special mention goes to the ones we might actually do multiplayer with, such as TF2 and Portal 2.
Okay, so apparently there's an "owner" status, which is the sole position that can edit the group's permissions (you can't even let other people edit group permissions if you wanted), and it's actually above "moderator" and "officer". Must be anti-griefing measures, though it doesn't make it convenient for co-managing groups.
Anyway, I got that status passed down to me and now I've made it so that y'all can make announcements and events. If you wanna do stuff like organize multiplayer sessions or make giveaways or other things, you can do so now. Or just use this thread, haha.
>check group to see if I'm missing anyone on Steam
