Ever notice how ghetto Coruscant could be? Like, we're talking about a society that obviously has access to renewable energy, but the economy still appears to hinge on economic conditions comparable to today's. Did some clever bastard pull a Russian diamond on the situation or what?
It pretty much is segregated by height. The higher up on Coruscant you are, the better off you tend to be.
