...then I realized my computer was too outdated to play the game properly, so I'm not playing again until I can get a better one.

I used to play Skyrim then I stopped because there were other games I'd rather play. >.>
^ This.
That'd be all of them except Skyrim, AFAIK.
Morrowind and Oblivion did. Dunno about the first two games. (EDIT: Ninja'd)
It wasn't anything particularly remarkable though, and didn't really feel like you were making your own spells so much as you were getting stronger versions of spells you already had. It was nice though because of the exploitability.
I would have put Skyrim down by now, with how much there is to do, but I've made a promise to myself not to buy a new PS3 game until I beat the one I'm currently playing. Starting fresh with a new console, and all.
I used to play Skyrim, but then I lost all of my save games.
That's one of the few things that could happen that would make me just go "fuck it" and play a new game. That's terrible.
I just don't want to spend another 80+ hours just getting back to where I was. That's a job for High-School-finished-therefore-I-am-now-a-fat-hermit Legionnaire!
I used to play Skyrim, but then I wrote up an entry in my character's journal and my computer crashed, but I don't want to rewrite it right now so I can keep playing.
I used to play Skyrim, then I got Tropico 4 and being Presidente entertains me more.
I used to have myself entered in a SteamGifts.com drawing for a copy of Skyrim, then I decided my computer probably won't be able to run it and I would probably still enjoy Recettear and Terraria more even if it did.
I used to play Skyrim
oh wait, no I didn't, I don't have it yet.
Hoping for just a liiiiiittle more birthday money on Wednesday so I can get it.
Same as OP except replace "computer" with "TV".
How can your TV be too outdated?
I remember that happened to me with Oblivion, but there was a setting that would fix it...
I suppose in this situation the only decent thing for me to do is to keep playing it like a mofo so that you guys can live vicariously through me.
I used to believe that the metroidvania and sandbox genres couldn't be combined...
...then I took a Terraria to my gaming repertoire.
