When internet people try to sound like professional movie critics

  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!

  • You can change. You can.
    ...

--loosens tie and wipes sweat of his brow--
  • Professional movie critics don't get in front of a camera and summarize the entire movie while watching clips of it, silly!
  • They're somethin' else.
That's not an internet person. That's just some guy throwing around the phrase left wing and knowing fuck all of what it means.
  • He is on the internet, and he is a person. He is an internet person.
  • http://plover.net/~bonds/lotrfilms.html Does anyone else see what I'm getting at here?
  • I expected the same as Neo...
  • The reviews read as if the writer wants to be seen as an intellectual by but somehow fails to do so. For that I understand the rage targeted at it.

">Was expecting a thread about trashing TGWTG.

    >Leaves disappointed." - -

Hey, I made a big one of those before on IJBM that was well-thought out with logical arguments, and everyone just called me an internet tough guy and and hoped I got banned, basically just attacking me instead addressing any points I made.

TGWTG fanboys can't even handle constructive criticism. I'm not really shocked though, since TGWTG can't handle it either.

Also how the hell do I quote? I haven't been here in like a year and I totally forgot.
  • Why the hell did you randomly use my thread to bring up bygone drama?

  • They're somethin' else.

    Bickle!

    Mah nigga!

  • Why the hell did you randomly use my thread to bring up bygone drama? - Why not? Ain't like I got anything better to do with my free afternoon.

And what up, Schtiz? Diggin' the Splatterhouse avatar, I was actually considering switching to one myself but I figured it'd be weird considering my name and all.
  • They're somethin' else.

Thanks! Glad to see someone here's played some of the games in the series. What did you think of the 2010 remake?

  • Best of the series I think, actually. I was totally blown away by it. So many great nods to the classics and retro horror films in the visuals, a fucking killer soundtrack by Howard Drossin, and an honestly way better plot than I (or anyone) expected it to have. A damn shame that we'll probably never get a sequel, but Splatterhouse fans never give up hope. It took almost 20 years to get Splatterhouse 2010, what's 20 more, right?
  • They're somethin' else.

Right. Fuck those review sites, though. This game was God Hand for the horror crowd. Namco losing all hope for this series is a bit of a dick move, but at least they're no Capcom at the moment.

  • The worst thing is that they're complaining about glitches in reviews that never actually show up in the game because Namco sent out bugged copies for review. feels bad man
  • They're somethin' else.

Basic reviews both professional and amateur:

-God of War is the only game in its genre i've ever played

-OMG I can count the polygons i'm blind!!

-I'm special, and I have the priviledge to be irrevocably butthurt by load times and difficulty. Never mind that I could just improve in the game. No, this game has to just never have a learning curve.

  • Pretty much. The only accurate reviews come out like two+ months after a game is out, once all the cheques have cleared.
