    I honestly didn't know that the song was actually "Fuck You" and not "Forget You."

    The joke of the thread was about how the song is about a guy being resentful of someone he doesn't like for scoring an attractive girlfriend.

    It was a play on expectations.

    Drama aside, this is actually a really good song - to me, this is what soul music should be like, and was like before it got too over-produced in the 90s.
