WHY SO UNFITTING?! I mean, it's great and jazzy n shit but fucking seriously, why? A lot of the songs have no business in a greased lighting assed fighting game XD

    Because Marvel vs Capcom 2 was the result of cramming whatever they could together and hoping that it worked.

    BlazBlue's soundtrack is... not very good.  Fortunately, you can't actually hear any of the songs in-game because your characters are constantly shouting and whatnot.

    Marvel Vs Capcom 2's soundtrack was good but... yeah, not sure how well it really fit in with the game.

    That said, I actually can't remember anything about how any music from BlazBlue sounds, so maybe I'm mistaken.  Still, I don't remember ever particularly liking any of it.  Also all the songs have really dumb names, though of course that doesn't really matter.

    Oh yes this. When I first played Marvel vs Capcom 2 I was like "the shit is this? Where's the classic Capcom-esque music that graced Marvel vs Capcom 1?" I fucking wanted the Mega Man 2 theme playing when Mega Man was onscreen, dammit! Not this "gonna take you for a ride" shit!

    I've heard the Japanese version has a completely different soundtrack. Can anyone confirm?

    It would have been all over youtube if so. My local arcade has Japanese cabinets as well as english ones, and the music is exactly the same.

    But yeah. When I was listening to the soundtrack I was like "HAY SNK LOL"

    MvC2 isn't the same without the soundtrack it has. It adds to its classic appeal. Plus it wants to take me for a ride.

    It's also still better than Blaz-Blue's godawful soundtrack...

    I remember always muting the sound and playing something else over it, because seriously that was a terrible, wince-inducing soundtrack. >.<  It's bad enough that it clashes horribly with the actual game, but the fact that it does so whilst not even being good music when taken out of context... Ugh.

    Personally I'd replace the entire soundtrack with songs from the first MvC.

    Though, after this discussion and remembering that MvC2 seemed like kind of a letdown when I played it, I think that whenever I get a Dreamcast I'll just stick to MvC1.
