I find the fridge logic "I'm not going to have a relationship with that [guy or girl, depending on your preference] anyway" enough to snuff out ALL THE SABER TOOTH TIGERS, AND I'VE ONLY GOT A BRAIN THE SIZE OF A PEA! any pointless fantasizing involving random attractive people.

It's a totally different story in a dormitory, on the other hand--if you live three floors above a really cute [boy/girl] then you might want to get to know them.
  • How about some wholesome fun.
  • As in a game of Parcheesi played on the mattress? :monocle:

Why have the fun in bed? I don't have a tv and game system in my room, after all...

Why does it have to be in bed? You can "have fun" pretty much anywhere.

^^ Really? I always kinda assumed everyone has a TV and game system of choice in their room.
  • At my dorm I have a TV that I never turn on and I don't even think it's plugged in, and definitely no video game system.  At home I don't have either thing in my room.  My laptop is usually in my room though...

Central: Nope. I once did. I never came out of my room. The tv and game system were taken out

I do, like DYRE, have a laptop though

And DYRE, STOP MAKING ME THINK YOU LOOK LIKE A LITTLE ANIME GIRL IN REAL LIFE!

B-but... that's what I want you to think... [maybe]

Your laptop definitely counts as a game system. :P

I once had a TV in my dorm room.  It seemed rather pointless so I donated it to the wing lounge.
  • Even still, I've only had a laptop for less than a year.

Prior to that, my room basically just had my bed and my clothes.  My brother's room has a TV and PS2 and Wii, though.

Though, the 360 is in a different room.

And my NES and Genesis...es are in the basement.

    How to fix this situation:
    1. Put the NES and Genesis in your room.

    I still wouldn't have a TV...

I guess I could bring the TV from the basement too, but I'm not sure where I'd put it.

I'm also not sure if it works.

    Or exists.

My laptop has troubles running Portal on near minimal settings. Same with Minecraft

If this is a gaming system, then that is just sad D:
  • Mine can run Minecraft, at least.

Though, it has trouble running Fallout 3 or Oblivion at near-minimum settings at 800x600 resolution at anything higher than a single-digit framerate.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
My laptop is made for gaming.

Unfortunately, it can't run at max settings for long unless it's sitting on something very cold.
  • I keep my laptop in my room, too. It's where I spend most of my time these days. Only instead of gaming, I use it for posting on TVTropes, watching torrented TV shows, and reading Homestuck.

    Lolgaming

The laptop I'm currently using is an IBM T40 from 2003.  The keyboard is broken and the original XP install has since been lost.  It is running Ubuntu 10.04 and doing it rather slowly--I have to make sure i use less processing-intensive applications, such as Epiphany intead of Firefox.

(Thank goodness for Epiphany + Pidgin instead of Firefox running GMail.)

My normal computer these days is in the shop.  However, even it weirdly has trouble with Grid Wars--that runs fine on a 1.6 GHz processor but not on a 1.3 GHz processor.  With 1.3, it can probably run games that are a few years old.

Which I don't mind, since I am rarely interested in top-of-the-line games anyway.
  • As long as I can play some doujin games, Warcraft III and Starcraft and AOE II, I'm good.

DYRE: Mine can as well, provided I don't explore too much. Then it starts chugging along. It also nearly dies at dawn and dusk. Once again, this is with near minimal settings

I had to use a mod to make it so my computer could process it better (optimine)
