    There have been many famous singers in the past, but there are only so many different ages they could die at.  You could probably come up with similar-sized lists for many other ages of death.

    I was wondering about this when I heard of her death. But yeah, it needs to get a good conspiracy theory tacked on before this becomes even remotely interesting besides quirky coincidence.

    I always took it as a spiritualism thing. 

    In any case, I don't think she can stand alongside the names on that list in terms of influence and musical prowess, personally. Nothing against her, and I'm not trying to dance on any graves here.

    Brittany Murphy was actually murdered but they say she died by drug overdose to prevent media panic.

    I would know this because I killed her, but they didn't want me getting media attention over it once they found out they couldn't prove it was me who did it.

    The whole thing was based around the fact that the deaths in question happened during 1969-70 and were distanced by exactly ten months. Also, Morrison died on the same day that Brian Jones (Who was the first "inductee" of the 27 Club) died.

    After that, the trend was noticed in that they were not only 27, but they were also at the peeks of their musical career. At least, from a musical standpoint, rather than from a sucess/business one.
