Forced out of my room again because my roommate wouldn't shut up. At least I only have to deal with him for another week.
I'm still amazed at how much better I am at getting things done when time's visibly running out.
^ True that.
I think I had a dream at some point that involved this site. And avatars weren't square for some reason.
Goddamn, I actually think I made a lot of progress today. Beyond the obvious needing to get my finals done, of course; I hung out with some friends and got a few really good pieces of advice on my short stories, and I feel like they've already come very far.
On the other hand, I guess my roommate's playing an Adventure Time drinking game with a friend, taking a drink every time Jake transforms, among other things. I hope his drink is pretty well diluted, because I absolutely do not need him being drunk again while I'm finishing this essay.
Essay's done. I can't fucking wait to watch my grade in this class tank from all the sucking this essay's doing. But for now, sleepy time.
UKIP won around 26% of the vote in the local elections. This goddamn country. (For those who don't know, UKIP are the UK's local far right party. Well, there's also the BNP, who are even worse, but they lost support a few years back.)
(I say about as the results are still coming in, but that's the projected value from commentators since we've got a fairly large chunk of the country covered right now.)

I just found out that I spent more money than I realized this past month or so. Damn.
I'm not really leaving over this recent bout of drama. I've just barely been paying attention to this site for months, and when I do, I mostly kind of look at discussions going on and get vaguely annoyed. I barely even participated in mod discussions, and I'd been thinking about leaving anyway. This was just kind of the tipping point for me to make it official.
It's been fun, but it's time for me to move on.
If anyone wants to know where I'm gonna be, you can still find me on Steam and on tumblr at freakshowimprov.tumblr.com.
Well I'll be seeing you around, then! And you're welcome to come back anytime you want to rant about anything that bugs you.
Later, Forzare. I've missed having you around and it already kinda sucks that you haven't been posting much. All the best.
Yeah, I feel bad about stepping out due to end-of-semester time commitments, myself.
You shouldn't. That's entirely reasonable. I mean, it's not quite the same without some people, but real life has to take precedence.
Finally gave Gregory Porter a listen:
It's pretty sweet, but I'm getting sick of his face after half a year of plastering it around town. The promotional team consists mainly of prissy blondes who work wonders while leafletting, but find wallpaper paste too icky to work with.
Farewell, Forzabro!
What the hell? I mean, I've already browsed through Activity, despite I'm unused to doing that. I guess I did it because I instinctively realized that I'm unused to it and as such likely to miss on details. So, er, getting back to the topic, I technically mostly know what's going on, but it feels kinda awkward.
You and me.
As far as I've gathered, it seems that one user got banned, then one mod announced his quit, then another announced his quit (by way of retreating to the IRC channel), at which point a handful of other users decided to follow suit. Then another mod announced his quit but due mostly to unrelated reasons. And a third mod quit (or is taking a break) for a combination of reasons.
From my talking to some of these users, it seems to have been a handful of people who felt pent-up dissatisfaction about things in general anyway; controversy over the bannee's ban length seem to have triggered that first mod to quit, which triggered a non-mod user to flounce, and that flounce gave a convenient excuse for the others to flounce as well.
(That's using the internet slang meaning of "flounce" to be "to announce one's exit in a noticeable manner".)
Several of these quitting users are (or are planning to become) regulars on the IRC channel, in case you want to get in touch with them.
That said, I can see people going right on with posting on the board anyway.
I am curious as to what constitutes a "useless" thread around IJBM, it seems oddly curious to me that this type of phrase is used.
Activity is like a separate, semi-hidden Updates thread. It's kind of confusing to me. I don't know whether I should post in there or in here on current affairs like the one we're having.
Out of curiosity, what is our IRC channel?
You people are all very silly.
I guess I'll post more often from now on.
