It bothers me how diverse an individual's interests tend to be, in particular, when they contradict.
Like that guy who likes to pet baby puppies and kittens who also precums at tentacle rape by things out of H.P. Lovecraft.
Or that other guy who fetishizes guns and explosions who also likes to spread his favorite show about cartoon ponies.
And then, there's even that anti-sexual bastard right over here, whose favorite fantasy consists of ridiculously pretty little boys that never cry because of how happy they are around the people they love who also look very nice in frilly clothes being taken care of by women who look around 18 to 29 years old that love well behaved children, in particular ones that love them too, who also has an ideal world where homicide of others is encouraged for the purpose of getting rid of certain people like trash, and likes bloody chainswords.
It makes it too hard to get an image of someone because their interests don't really fall into similar groups.
Also, how appropriate appearance is also impossible for me to assign to people like this, because of contradictory perceptions.

Also, hahaha you can't find stereotypes of people super oracle them into a cute little category!
Well, interesting, anyway. I love being surprised by people I (thought I) knew, don't you?
"I knew you were talking about X, I knew you are actually talking about X"
"inb4 Person Y, who likes X"
"X is Person Y"
"Person Y will always X"
"I knew you were talking
about green-red striped guinea pigs, I knew you are actually talking about green-red striped guinea pigs"
"inb4 Hubert Hassenichgesehen, who likes green-red striped guinea pigs"
"green-red striped guinea pigs is Hubert Hassenichgesehen"
"Hubert Hassenichgesehen will always green-red striped guinea pigs"
This is strangely fun...
"I knew you were talking about PINCHO, PANCHO, AND TOMAS JEFFERSON, I knew you are actually talking about PINCHO, PANCHO, AND TOMAS JEFFERSON"
"inb4 LADY GAGA, who likes PINCHO, PANCHO, AND TOMAS JEFFERSON"
"PINCHO, PANCHO, AND TOMAS JEFFERSON is LADY GAGA"
"LADY GAGA will always PINCHO, PANCHO, AND TOMAS JEFFERSON"
Edit: Fixed. Thanks. v

One minute I'm watching My Little Pony, the next I'm taking an MMA class with men wearing t-shirts that say "bonafide tough guy" and listening to heavy metal. I fear that I will instantly lose all reputation if they ever find out...
I am not sure if I agree with you. For the ponies/guns example, I think what you point out is more of a broad perspective than a contradiction. Glennmagusharvey's and Komodin's lists of interests seem to be more indicative of having varied interests in my view than contradictory for example. I might have misunderstood you though since you did mention diverse interests.
I agree that unpredictability can be a bit unnerving though, especially when one suddenly reveals that one likes something that goes against your impression of that person. I think that seems like all the more reason not to have preconceived notions of who people are.
Also, I see little reason to talk about how much one is going against type by having a certain interest, but I feel like I see that decently frequently online and somewhat frequently offline. I think people should just be happy with their interests because they are their interests and not really care whether or not society or other people think those things are consistent at all. I understand that can be pretty tough sometimes though.
On a somewhat related note, is it common for seemingly conflicting interests to involve liking nice and peaceful things while simultaneously liking gore and violence and such? That is the impression I get from this thread, but I wonder if that really is the case.
