Fine, it had some scrappy parts, but I found the Forest Temple FAR more annoying myself. It was hell Flaws in my opinion: Water Temple: -The damn waterfall room -Occasionally that boulder room -The way the temple sometimes is disorienting Forest Temple: -The god damned Wall Masters -The crushing room -The obnoxious ghost puzzle mini boss -Maze like qualities -Disorientation -That god damned music when you are in a dark area -Phantom Ganon and how he'd go into the painting behind you Honestly, I think the Forest Temple should burn. I'd take two or three Water Temple-like dungeons over that shitfest any day

  • I thought they were both pretty cool despite having some tedious parts.
  • I keep thinking of the legend of zelda from Super Nintendo days for some reason.  The water temple in that was fairly annoying but I really enjoyed the game.  Ocarina of time really wasn't all that annoying for me.
  • The problem with the water temple as far I can recall is that is was easy to get lost in and very tedious more than any major difficulty.
  • Yeah, there were a lot of things that you had to do over and over. Didn't help that you had to go to the menu to equip and unequip the iron boots.

Also, changing the water levels, dark Link and the whirpools. Still, overall I don't mind the temple much.

The Swamp Palace was cool, your opinion is wrong.

Equip the boots, raise the water, unequip the boots, lower the water, equip the boots, lower the water, raise the water, unequip the boots, DARK LINK, NOT REALIZE THERE'S A TIME BLOCK BEHIND THE LONGSHOT CHEST, equip the boots, raise the water, WHOOPS FORGOT A KEY SPEND HOURS SEARCHING EVERY OTHER ROOM, unequip the boots, yadayadayada.
  • Also, the dungeon's treasure is just an upgrade.
  • Because you never know what you might see.

    You too?

I didn't mind that so much. I mean, the Longshot is pretty awesome. I wouldn't have minded if the Hookshot had instead been the Longshot and the Longshot in the Water Temple was replaced by something else, but eh.

    You too?

SPEND HOURS SEARCHING EVERY OTHER ROOM

My brother and his friends force me to play through this temple. Alone. With no experience in LoZ at all.

And you wonder why I hate this series.
  • If someone forced you to play a video game, I'd say you have bigger problems than hating LoZ.
  • Well, they just told me to play through and left to get hookers and blow.

Well, maybe not hookers. But probably blow. And alcohol.
  • Did they bring you any back?
  • Kichigai birthday!!
    >Hate Legend of Zelda series
    >Which means he hates Majora's Mask

    Here you go

  • I loved Majoras Mask even though I was shitty at it. can I still have dog food?
  • Forest Temple was cooler-looking, had better puzzles, and wasn't tedious and confusing.  Also didn't require you to spend a significant portion of the dungeon wearing Iron Boots.
  • Come on the way Adamwestslapdog handled the Water Temple was EPIC!!!

    Kichigai birthday!!
^^^ Don't worry, being bad at MM is pretty usual. In fact, one of it's flaws is its difficulty curve
  • oh god fighting that Magikarp just ugh!
  • Kichigai birthday!!
What I meant is that you get a stupidly easy first dungeon and then the second one is practically like OOT's Fire Temple
  • still you end up fighting a Sumrai, a Toros, and a Magikarp in the first three dungeons.
  • No rainbow star
I'll admit that I still find all the dungeons fun, it's just that I find the Forest Temple FAR more annoying

    *Shrugs* Maybe I like monotony?
  • Kichigai birthday!!
I once defeated Odolwa using only the Deku Mask. I think I spent 2 in-game days on that.
  • Because you never know what you might see.
I liked the Forest Temple.  It was creepy and fun.
  • Kichigai birthday!!
    No,regular time

Actually I don't remember the exact amount of time, It was long ago,but I remember It took me a lot of time
  • It also had the bow as treasure and is the first dungeon as adult link (keys!).

Wall Masters did scare the hell out of me though when I was a kid...
  • Well yeah, I know now.  Not so much the first time I played it though.
  • Writer, Artist, Obscure.
I was more afraid of the forest temple than I hated it. In fact, I was fine with it. But the Water level, ugh... A directionless clustersuck of no return.  I can't believe it took me hours of water rising and sinking and searching and boot equipping and unequipping only for my to find out the only thing holding me back was that I DIDN'T THINK TO BOMB THE WALL WITH THE CRACK IN IT! MY GOD! But even without that, it was still tedious as hell.

But really, All water Levels in legend of Zelda are like this.

Jabu Jabu's belly in Oracles of Ages, Mermaid cave in Oracle of seasons, that ice place in Minish cap to a lesser extent, I tried the water place in Majora's Mask and was completely confused of what the hell I was supposed to be doing in there.

It's like a freaking tradition now.

But that could just be me, I don't like water in video games, period. There's too much wrong there
    .
