    so much wrong in one post...

    1)  The Flash was actually the first speedster of both the Golden Age and the Silver Age. 

    2) The Flash is actually the reason that superhero comics managed to strive on post-Golden Age market meltdown

    3) the Flash has actually outrun the Black Flash I.E the death of the people who draw their power from the speed force.

    4) Barry Allen can manipulate every atom of his being as well as every atom of everyone on a relative close area. Making him probably one of the few heroes who could actually take on Superman and beat him unscathed.

    5) Comic Superheros do not cheapen everything. Only DC comic superheroes do. this is due to the fact that DC works on a big scale, where universes tend to die and be reborn wildly as well as gods walk among men.
