[videogame music meme] Yoshi's Island "Flower Garden" meme versions
It took me a while to find the specific one of these I wanted, so here they are for posterity:
"Flower Garden" is the first level theme from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island for SNES / Super Famicom. It is a carefree, happy track with a sunny disposition, whose melody characteristically starts off with a higher-pitched note and then works its way down.
There's one version where that higher-pitched note simply doesn't end. It's not obvious how to find it, so I found these by accident along the way:
Version where the higher-pitched note just fades downward in pitch without end:
This is a
Version where the melody doesn't come in at all:
This one is labeled "but it never starts".
And finally, the version where the higher-pitched note just keeps going indefinitely:
This one is memetically known as "Yoshi.mp4".
Some people call this a "scream" but I don't hear it that way.
