IJBM: That Watson is still portrayed as a dumbass.
What the hell is up with that? I mean, this guy lives and solves cases along Sherlock freaking Holmes. Holmes has not left anybody but Watson solve cases along his side, he's also a military doctor and a war veteran. This guy has been able to defend himself and Sherlock as much as Sherlock himself has defended him.
Not only that, but Holmes has always remarked that, while Watson has never been up ahead of him in a case, he always had respect for him and that most people wouldn't be able to catch up with him as much as he does.
It's just dumb to think that you get to be along the most impatient, short fused and intelligent detective of all time and be stupid at the same time.
