Supposed Boku no Pico live-action adaptation (or: Don't Believe Everything On The Internet pt. 3958)

My arms are falling off!

So lately some of my friends on my social feeds have been passing around a poster for a supposed Boku no Pico live-action adaptation, and of course people are falling for it and freaking out because, well, what is a 2-minute search on Google even.

I'm reserving judgement on the veracity of this rumor until I see reliable sources confirming it, as anyone should.

Seriously, people will believe any weird news stories about these sorts of things because "it's Japan".

Plus, even if this rumor about an attempt at Boku no Live Action was true, I'm sure there's several hurdles that would block its release: the actors would have to look ridiculously young while still being at least 18 to pull such an adaptation off, and even then there's probably a big red "NO" sign involving the fact that it's not just porn of characters under 18, but live-action at that.

  • It's obviously a hoax meant to stir shit up, but it's not so farfetched a scenario.

How they could do it: plot-relevant age-up, but toss in some backstory about hypogonadism or some shit+arrested development that makes the person act like a teenager. For every buyer lost to deviation from the source material, another one will step up because it hits his or her fetish button.

Besides, there is plenty of porn with legal actors which avoids mentioning age at all, but is pretend-underage based on the clothes/language and that gets a free pass.
